On May 20, the President of the Dunhuang Culture Institute and the former Chairman of the Dunhuang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Zhao Hu, and his group of five people came to the School of Visual Arts for an exchange visit. The Dean of the School of Visual Arts Shen Jianfei, the director of the professional teaching and research sections, and teacher representatives attended the exchange symposium.

During the meeting, Shen Jianfei introduced the basic situation of the school, the characteristics and strengths of specialities education, and the achievements of the teaching and talent cultivation of the school. Zhao Hu and his entourage gave a brief introduction to the basic situation of Dunhuang Cultural Institute, Yueya Town and Mogao Town. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cultural and creative industry promotion and education practices, centering on the themes of "cultural confidence" and "rural revitalization". Shen Jianfei expressed that he hoped to promote cultural innovation through further extensive cultural exchanges, inherit and explore the philosophy, humanistic spirit, values, and ethics contained in Dunhuang culture, so as to enhance students’ cultural confidence and encourage them to make contributions to the western rural revitalization and cultural innovation promotion.
