On May 11th and 12th, Yao Haitao, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, together with leaders from the publicity and united front work department, the Party school, the youth league and the office of party and government affairs, paid a visit to Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, a national civilized unit, and Zhejiang Financial College, an civilized unit of Zhejiang province, and learned from their experience and success in promoting cultural and ideological progress.

              

During the visit in Zhejiang Universtiy of Media and Communications, Zhan Chengda, vice president of the university, made an general introduction of the experience and success in promoting cultural and ideological progress, centering on the checking measures and experience of building civilized unit, the fostering of campus culture, the checking of university archives and the history and success of their university. Han Jianhua, the director of quality assurance office briefed on their experience in combining management check on daily goals and cultural and ideological progress. Li Yuanxu, deputy director of the publicity department of Party committee and director of the general office for guiding cultural and ethical progress, shared experience and measures in building campus cultural brands by leveraging preponderant disciplines. Zheng Hanjie, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, elaborated on their practice of linking students’ voluntary activities with credit evaluation. After the discussion, the visiting team surveyed the collaboration optimization center of media communication, the university archives and other achievements of the school’s cultural and ideological progress.

During the visit in Zhejiang Financial College, the team has received warm welcome form Jiang Jin, deputy secretary of CPC of the college. Mr. Jiang briefed on the history of their college and development after the shift of system in particular under the theme of promoting cultural and ideological progress. Wang Dongli, director of culture construction office, shared their experience in building civilized units of Zhejiang province by focusing on improving the understanding of theory, optimizing campus environment, strengthening teachers’ morality, emphasizing education on students’ morality and behavior, ensuring safety on campus and fulfilling their social responsibilities. He also detailed the achievements that have been made through the implementation of several cultural projects. After discussion, the team visited the students’ service hall, the school’s history room, the currency museum and toured around the campus.

During the visit, the team kept taking notes and asking questions while listening. Mr. Yao asked the team members to draw on others’ experience and measures in promoting cultural and ideological progress and take innovative steps to apply into the school’s efforts in establishing campus civilization so as to deliver more fruitful results in promoting cultural and ideological progress.
