Main work:

The Sports and health Course Teaching Department (hereinafter referred to as the Sports and Health Course Department) is a department responsible for the sports and health education work of the whole college, including the teaching and research of the sports and psychological health courses, the mass sports activities and competitions inside and outside the college, the sports venue and equipment management, the tests related to the National Fitness and Health Standards for Chinese Students, the psychological health consultation, coach, evaluation, filing and management, etc.

Organization structure:

The Sports and Health Course Department has established a physical culture and sports committee for the college headed by the president of the college. There are three teaching and research offices and three management centers in the Sports and Health Course Department. They are respectively the First Teaching and Research Office (a ball sports teaching and research office), the Second Teaching and Research Office (a comprehensive teaching and research office), the Third Teaching and Research Office (a psychological health teaching and research office), the Fitness and Health Test Center for Students, the Sports Venue Management Center and the Mass Sports Activity Center.

Faculty:

The Sports and Health Course Department has 31 employees in total, including 18 sports teachers, 11 psychological health and fitness teachers (each of them has a national professional qualification certificate for psychological consultation and the double-professionally-titled teacher qualification), 5 associate professors, 19 lecturers and 5 teaching assistants.

Teaching venues:

The college has one 400-meter standard plastic track, eight outdoor basketball courts, one standard football pitch and one outdoor fitness revue. They have been equipped with 1,145 sets of sports equipment. The total area of all the outdoor sports fields is 22,936 square meters. The college has a multi-purpose sports stadium with a floor area of 12,800 square meters. There are one competition hall, two large table tennis classrooms, two basketball training halls, two volleyball training halls, two badminton teaching and training halls, two aerobics and rhythmic gymnastics classrooms, one Chinese martial art training classroom, one taekwondo training classroom, one fitness center with fitness gear, one test room related to the National Fitness and Health Standards for Chinese Students and one multimedia classroom in the stadium. The stands of the competition hall can accommodate 3,000 viewers. Large competition events such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, Chinese martial art, aerobics and sports dancing contests at a provincial level or above and various large group activities can be held in the stadium.
