Stevens-Henager College Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College

On March 13th, Brad Horn, Vice President of Stevens-Henager College, and his delegation visited Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. He signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Qi Renjie, Vice President of Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College, launching programs such as staff exchange, student exchange and sino-forerign joint education.
 
              


        Before the talks, Vice President Qi Renjie extended his warm welcome to Vice President Horn and his delegation, introduced some basic information and teaching characteristics of the college and proposed framework suggestions about joint education with Stevens-Henager College.

              

Vice President Horn appreciated the warm and thoughtful reception of the college, introduced some basic information of SHC and the educational philosophy they persisted for 125 years -- cooperating with first-class enterprises to formulate training plans and design courses to train professionally competitive graduates in accordance with social demands, and expressed their willingness to conduct joint education with Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. Specific implementation plans and cooperation agreements will be drawn up by the China Office of Stevens-Henager College and Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College together.

              

Ms. Wu Can, an official in the China Office of Stevens-Henager College, presented the CPT (curricular practical training) program, in which the postgraduate students are able to pay tuition fees and living expenses with their internship salary. Mr. Xia Xiaocai, an official in the Hunan Office of Stevens-Henager College, presented the proposal of “3+1” program, i.e. the students study in Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College for three years to get a junior college diploma recognized by both sides and study in Stevens-Henager College for another year to acquire an undergraduate diploma of Stevens-Henager College certified by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

              

Vice President Horn and Vice President Qi Renjie agreed on the work of launching the application of a joint educational institution and relevant time schedules.
