On April 26, the college held a security work meeting. People present at the meeting were president Ma Yujun, vice president Jiang Minquan and Lei Junlin, directors of the Propaganda Department, Finance Department, Department of Retirement Affairs, Communist Youth League Committee, Office of Student Affairs, Security Department and others, as well as the Party branch secretaries of the schools. Presided over by vice president Jiang Minquan, the meeting also invited the persons in charge of the local police station.

At the meeting, the responsible person in charge of the Security Department made a report on the current situation of the college’s safety education work, and emphasized to put four aspects as the top priority. Firstly, conduct publicity work on preventing telecommunications network fraud to ensure the safety of teachers and students’ property. The second was to do well in the traffic safety education to ensure the personal safety of teachers and students. Thirdly, ensure the security of student apartments to provide students with a favorable living environment. The fourth was to curb the rising trend of criminal cases and build a safe campus.

The responsible person in charge of the Department of Student Affairs reported on the hidden safety hazards to students during holidays, graduate internships, work-study programs, and living off-campus, and suggested corresponding safety protection measures. The responsible person from the Propaganda United Front Work Department put forward specific requirements for strengthening the monitoring of online public opinion.

Jiang Minquan made requests on campus security work in general, and the propaganda work on prevention of telecommunications network fraud in particular. The first was to improve political positions by focusing on the campus security work. The second was to strengthen leadership by intensifying their sense of responsibilities. Every department must watch their own doors and be strict to themselves so as not to neglect every single student in each class. The third was to make concerted efforts by the interconnection between police and the college, and among the departments of the college. The fourth was to carry out strict supervision with stronger responsibilities, linking safety responsibilities with annual assessment and performance.

Lei Junlin made specific requirements centering on the construction of a safe campus, the establishment of a school-police linkage mechanism, and the reinforcement of the information communication mechanism.

Ma Yujun gave a positive recognition to the current security and student affairs work, pointed out the existing problems, and deployed the next step of the campus security work in his concluding speech. He pointed out that we must not forget our original aspirations, keeping in mind the mission of strengthening moral education and cultivating people, and providing talents to the Party and the Country. We must always pay attention to the security, intensifying the prevention and control of hidden dangers on campus, and forming a long-term mechanism to ensure campus safety. All departments must attach great importance to campus safety work, paying close attention to the "three implementations", highlighting the "four stresses", and following the "five priorities". "Three emphases" and "five enhancements" must be put into practice in the student affairs.
