HNMMC Held the First "Career Experience Week for College Students"

In order to carry out career planning education and help students for better self-awareness and career exploration, the college held the first "Career Carnival" career experience week in Media Square on November 8.

The event invited all the students of HNMMC and adopted a vivid and lively form that students enjoyed. The site was covered under a warm and exciting atmosphere. The activity was divided into four zones, that is, self-exploration, career exploration, competence charging, and moving forward for dreams, and provided thirteen game sections. Students were guided to combine their interests, values and majors to play the games and answer questions, so as to know themselves and explore the career world in practice, improve career awareness, and lay a favorable foundation for future careers. The activity attracted students and teachers from Changsha Normal University, Hunan Vocational Institute of Safety Technology, and other peer institutions to observe.

During the event, Li Ximin, Deputy Director of Student Affairs Department of Education Department of Hunan Province, Zhong Qiuming, Director of Student Information and Career Guidance Center of Hunan Provincial Colleges and Universities, Li Sanfu, Secretary of Party Committee of HNMMC, President He Zhanbing, Vice President Lei Junlin, and other college leaders visited the site to give guidance. They affirmed the significance and role of this career experience week activity in stimulating the awareness of career development of college students and improving the quality of career education. It has a positive impact on students to establish career development goals as early as possible, clarify their self-cognition, explore their inner potential and expand their development space.

The participating students said that the activity was interesting and inspiring, and they got a clearer understanding of their own character, interests and abilities in the process of participation, which was of great help to career planning.

The five- day "Career Experience Week for College Students" was jointly organized by the Admissions and Career Guidance Division and Student Affairs Division of the college, with technical support from Beisen Career Education Technology Co.. The number of participants was expected to reach more than 5,000. According to the guidance of the college’s Epidemic Prevention and Control Office, the event was scientifically planned and precisely prevented from the epidemic. It was carried out in classes, avoiding staggered hours. All teachers and students were required to wear masks and scan the venue code before entering the activity site, and people with red or yellow health codes were strictly prohibited to enter. Great efforts have been made in reducing the gathering and flow of people to escort the safety of the teachers and students.
