Recently, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education released the results of the 2022 "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange project. The online group exchange project of "Online Gathering to Explore Charming Changsha" declared by HNMMC was approved. This is the second time that the college has been approved for the "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange project since 2021.

The online group exchange project is intended to enroll 80 international students. With Chinese situational teaching, experience of intangible cultural heritage projects, and virtual travel in charming Changsha as the theme content, the courses will adopt the method of "recorded broadcast classes+live broadcast classes+ online-offline interaction" to lead students to join Chinese immersive situational teaching. They will experience Chinese and Hunan culture projects, such as tea art, Baduanjin exercise, ancient Chinese poetry and modern pop music, and travel to Orange Island, Hunan Provincial Museum, Ancient Town of Tongguan Kiln, Malanshan Video Cultural Innovation Park, Hunan Satellite TV and other representative places of charming Changsha online. In this way, they are able to improve their Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing and comprehensive application abilities, while fully appreciate the characteristic culture and regional customs of Changsha, and deeply comprehend the connotation of Chinese culture and Hunan culture.

The college always adheres to the open education, attaches importance to the language and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and continues to strengthen extensive cooperation and in-depth exchanges with overseas universities by opening up new channels for international exchanges in the post epidemic era. The "Chinese Bridge" online group exchange project approved in 2021 has attracted nearly 100 students from Germany, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Madagascar, Gambia, Laos and other countries to gather online to learn Chinese, travel around Hunan and experience Chinese culture, which has received a warm response. China Education News Network, Red Net, Sanxiang Metropolis Daily, Xiaoxiang Morning News, New Hunan, Hunan Education News Network, Hunan Micro Vocational Education and other media reported the activities.
