A few days ago, the 12th Hunan Provincial Games for Students of Colleges and Universities ended at Hunan Institute of Science and Technology. After intense competition, athletes of HNMMC showed their style and strength in the cheerleading and taekwondo competitions in the higher vocational and technical college groups, and won a gold medal in the prescribed moves of Flower Ball Cheerleading, and 6 bronze medals in Men's 54kg, 58kg, 63kg, Women's 43kg, and Men's and Women's team competitions of taekwondo.
It is reported that the Games will last more than 30 days. There are 11 major events including track and field, swimming, basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, martial arts, aerobics, cheerleading and sports dance. A total of 10114 athletes from 37 undergraduate universities and 68 vocational colleges participated in the Games, with the largest scale, specification and number of athletes ever.
The college attached great importance to the Games and set up a Games delegation, headed by the president He Zhanbing, and led by the Vice President of HNMMC Xu Jingxue as the secretary general. 49 athletes came from six secondary schools. The excellent performances result from the painstaking practice and active struggle of coaches and athletes. The achievements fully demonstrate the positive youth vitality, energetic spirit and comprehensive quality of all-round development of our students, and establishes a good image for the college.
