In the afternoon of October 27, Dong Xiao, Chief Content Executive of 5G iMango Radio, was invited to A Lecture at Malanshan program and gave a wonderful open class to the students and teachers of the School of Film and Television Arts, majoring in Broadcasting and Hosting, with the theme of "New scenes, New Voices and New Contents of Broadcasting in the 5G Era".
During the program, Dong Xiao introduced 5G iMango Radio to the students and teachers on the scene. It is a radio station that can automatically generate news, information, weather, road conditions, music and other broadcast content with one click through artificial intelligence technology. The application of new technology broadened the horizons of the students and teachers, but at the same time, questions arose: how should human anchors respond to the striking brought by AI anchors? Dong Xiao replied the audience through a series of quality programs "The Gift of the Land" and "My Efforts to the Revitalization of My Village" in cooperation with Li Bing Master Studio of the school: AI anchors were not meant to replace human anchors, but to put human anchors into more valuable and productive work.
"New technology brings new application scenarios and offers more possibilities for people who works on media industry," Dong Xiao said, adding that 5G iMango Radio has broken the single pattern of mass communication in the past. At present, 5G iMango radio is used in hospitals, troops and communities, and also connected to the "sounds in village" loudspeaker into the village and households. It has opened up the "last kilometer" of grassroots communication, and sent the Party's voice to the fields first time. In the live teaching session of the program, the students from the School of Film and Television Arts, majoring in Broadcasting and Hosting, presented two radio programs with different styles and a commercial dubbing. Dong Xiao gave high praise of the students' performance and extended an invitation to all the students present. She looked forward to more students together joining in the creativity and production of the radio programs, and 5G iMango Radio shall provide a platform for broadcasting the outstanding programs among them. Meanwhile, she encouraged students not to be prisoners of experience, but to re-imagine this era and do the right thing, and then everything will happen naturally. Dong Xiao's proposal received a positive response from the students, who said that Ms. Dong's class was full of true skill and genuine knowledge, which not only broadened their eyes, but also gave them confidence in the coming era of 5G convergence media.
At the end of the program, the School of Film and Television Arts issued an appointment letter to Dong Xiao, who was hired as a Language Arts instructor. 5G iMango Radio issued an authorization certificate to the college to experience the imango intelligence system.
It is reported that "A Lecture at Malanshan" is the first TV youth public class in Hunan Province, jointly created by HNMMC and Hunan International Channel "Passport to Hunan" program team. It is the outcome of the educational reform of "classroom + original + stage + multi-screen" talent training mode of the School of Film and Television Arts. The previous programs also invited well-known guests as the lecturers, such as Ding Wenshan, exclusive dubber for the channel sound of Hunan Satellite Television Channel, and Dong Guosheng, the first Chinese broadcast host "Golden Voice Award" winner. Dong Xiao, who was invited to this program, has more than 20 years experience in broadcasting and is the former deputy director of Hunan People's Radio Traffic Channel and the host of its top- class column "Traffic Topics". As a witness to the development of radio from single sound medium to the convergence media, she has been committed to exploring more possibilities of human-computer interaction and symbiosis between human hosts and AI anchors.
