Recently, the school-level selection of the 2022 Hunan Provincial Information Literacy Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges, which was hosted by the Library of HNMMC, came to an end.

After online evaluation by experts from inside and outside the college, three excellent works were selected from the School of Journalism and Communication, namely Xiang Ning’s "Visible Data and Future- Flourish User Portrait Builder", Yang Yang’s "Skillful Use of Baidu Index to Analyze News Keywords" and Yinni Yating’s "Live User Retention" to represent the college to participate in the micro-course competition in the teacher group of Hunan Provincial Information Literacy Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges. 12 students, including Lei Qianqian and Ouyang Qin, Class 2101 of Digital Publishing, the School of Journalism and Communication, and Zhang Chengrui, Class 2001 of Software Technology, the School of New Media Technology, were selected to represent the college to participate in the competition for student group.

This information literacy school-level selection competition aims to implement the spirit of "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan", "Education Informatization 2.0 Action Plan" and "Library Regulations for General Higher Education Institutions" and other related documents, to continuously promote information literacy education in schools. Meanwhile, it is expected to further strengthen teachers and students’ awareness, ethics, knowledge and skills in information in the new era, and to enhance the ability to use networking means to obtain, screen, and process information, so as to select excellent contestants of the college to participate in the 2022 Hunan Provincial Information Literacy Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges.
