On April 27, in the art professional skills "vocal music performance" event of 2022 "Chu Yi Cup" Hunan Vocational College Skills Competition, the School of Film and Television Arts set a new record in the competition history. Zhou Zhixuan, a student majoring in Music Performance Class 2019, won the first prize for ethnic singing, and Peng Yuanyuan ranked first among the second prize winners.

Since March 21, the college has implemented closed-loop management to carry out online teaching due to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control. To better conduct offline intensive training for students, vocal music instructors Long Kaiyi, Xu Yulan and piano accompaniment teacher Wang Caicai, after the approval of the college, brought the participating students to their homes to join the training whilst took care of them everyday. The instructor roles in both profession and life, providing strict professional training and meticulous care, has turned into a motivation for the students.
