On May 12, the 2022 work conference on high-quality development of the province's culture and tourism public services was held in Changsha. Li Aiwu, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the meeting and presented the flag to the first batch of 11 culture and tourism volunteer service college detachments. HNMMC was invited to participate in the meeting as one of the flag-receiving units.

The volunteer service detachment of HNMMC will formulate annual plans in accordance with the requirements of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the college, practice the concept of culture and tourism volunteer service, fulfill the obligations of volunteer service team and volunteers, and centre on the specialties’ advantages of the college to carry out public welfare services in the field of cultural tourism, aiming to build a college culture and tourism volunteer service brand with Hunan characteristics and media attributes, and commit to building a practical platform for culture and tourism to strengthen the province and for college talents to shoulder more responsibilities in the community.
