In order to improve teachers’ teaching ability, and recommend outstanding teams to participate in the teaching ability competition of Hunan Vocational College Teachers’ Professional Ability Competition, On April 29, the college held the on-site competition in the Academic Lecture Hall. Xu Jingxue, Vice President of the college, observed the whole process.
Since April, the college has launched the organization of the event. In order to improve the level of education and teaching, this competition was conducted with reference to the requirements of the 2022 Hunan Vocational College Teachers’ Teaching Ability Competition for Teachers’ Professional Competencies. After publicity, and promotion registration, preliminary selection of secondary teaching units and other links, a total of 29 teaching teams entered the school competition, which was conducted both online and offline. In the online session, the expert group mainly reviewed the teaching implementation reports, lesson plans and curriculum standards and other entry materials, and selected a total of 16 teams to enter the school competition.
The on-site competition was divided into three parts: teaching implementation report, teaching clip presentation, and defense. Well-prepared and fully cooperated, all teams demonstrated their talents and skills, showing various high-level classes with different types and styles. A panel of judges composed of experts from outside the school made wonderful comments based on the teachers' demonstration and related materials, pointed out the noticeable problems in the works, and put forward corresponding suggestions for improvement. At last, 11 teams were selected to represent the college to participate in the 2022 Hunan Provincial Vocational College Teacher Professional Ability Contest Teaching Ability Competition.
In recent years, in adherence to the idea of "promoting teaching, reform and construction by competition", the college has vigorously supported teachers to participate in various teaching competitions and achieved remarkable results. The college will take this competition as an opportunity to vigorously strengthen the construction of teaching staff and strive to improve the overall teaching level and quality of talent cultivation in the college.
