On the afternoon of September 16, the opening ceremony of the military training for the 2021 freshmen of the college was held on the athletic field. Party committee member and vice president Jiang Minquan, the Party branch secretaries of secondary schools, relevant directors of the Student Affairs Office and Security Office were invited to the opening ceremony. Student officers of all secondary schools, counselors responsible for freshmen, and the training officers attended the ceremony.

The ceremony began with the majestic national anthem, and all teachers and students stood solemnly facing the national flag.

After the flag-raising ceremony, Jiang Minquan gave a military training mobilization speech. He emphasized the importance of military training for college students and put forward four requirements to the 2021 freshmen. Firstly, we must comprehend the overall requirements of "scientific training, strict discipline, civilized command, and standardized management", ensuring this policy throughout the training. Secondly, we must consciously regard the campus as a military camp and strictly abide by military training schedules and disciplines. Thirdly, freshmen counselors should trace the entire process of the training, even entering the freshmen training grounds and dormitories. Fourthly, assistant counselors must set a good example to help the freshmen counselors carry out their work in an enthusiastic, patient and meticulous manner.

The representatives of the training officers and the freshmen made speeches, expressing their determination to complete the training, and presenting a good spirit of the 2021 freshmen of HNMMC with a high degree of consciousness and morale.

After the flag-giving ceremony, Jiang Minquan announced the kick-off of military training and completion of the opening ceremony.
