Until 20:00 on the 15th, 3361 freshmen had completed the payment and registration, with a registration rate of 95.4%. During the period, the colleges Party Committee Secretary Yuan Weikun, President Ma Yujun and other leaders came to the site many times to inspect and guide the orientation work, learning more about the progress of freshmen registration, and relevantly deploying the epidemic prevention and control work on campus. All departments and units of the college worked in close cooperation, leading to a smooth completion of orientation work and normalized epidemic control work. All working staff worked in an orderly manner and provided warm and meticulous service to new students.

During that time, the campus was covered by a cheerful and warm atmosphere. The registration procedures on site proceeded in an orderly manner. There is no longer a phenomenon where students gathered together and queued up for registration in previous years. As the smart campus network covers the entire college, freshmen can easily manage their food, clothing, housing and transportation on the smart campus welcoming platform with the touch of their fingers. Freshmen could go through both online and offline registration and online identity verification. Most of them have completed the registration, payment, and accommodation arrangement in advance via scanning the code online. After completing the simple offline process, they could directly carry their luggage and move into the dormitory. Under the guidance of teachers and student volunteers, some freshmen who chose to register and pay on-site went through various procedures in a quick and orderly manner.

During the registration, the college has set up receptions for freshmen at South Railway Station, Train Station and other places, and arranged special buses to pick them up. At the registration place, the Students Affairs Office and the Second Schools also provided considerate services, designating relevant persons in charge and class counselors on duty to answer questions raised by students and parents with enthusiasm and patience. The college has opened a green passage of student loans for new students who have financial difficulties in their families, and provided assistance in many ways to help them in admission. The college set up a huge placards bearing propaganda slogan at the school gate to encourage freshmen to live up to their youth, which are "respect for morality and talent to be a media person in the new era", "to be honest and innovative, and to be a communicator of positive energy". The Logistics Office, Security Office, and Property Management Company worked at the school gate to measure students body temperature and verify their identity. New students should receive a strict inspection of "one test, two codes and one card" for the epidemic control after they arrived at the school. Many duty posts were set up at the orientation site to guide vehicles in and out and guarantee personal and property safety of freshmen on patrol.

People who were in dazzling “red vests”, “yellow vests”, and “blue vests” could be seen everywhere. They were more than two hundred volunteer students to welcome the freshmen. The volunteers were organized by secondary schools, colleges Convergence Media Center, and the student union, most of them were sophomores. "This is a relay of love and care, which is of inheritance significance." The senior students grew from new student as the service recipients last year and now has become student volunteers. They all expressed their honor to be part of the orientation volunteers to offer help to students who are new to the school, so that they would develop the first feeling of warmth and caring. They were responsible for welcoming new students and parents at railway stations, providing guidance and consultation, maintaining order at the registration site, and taking photos of the orientation activity. Their warm smiles and greetings, and intimate service eliminated the new students unfamiliar feeling, which won unanimous praise from students and parents.

The college took multiple measures for the epidemic prevention and control simultaneously, and adopted the measures of "registering in batches while avoiding peak time" for the freshmen of each secondary school to minimize the gathering of people and ensure a smooth completion of the registration work. New students should delay their registration if they had a history of living in high-risk areas or living abroad within the 14 days before registration, or had fever, dry cough, nasal congestion, nasal discharge, sore throat and other uncomfortable symptoms before coming to the school. Currently, 48 freshmen are delayed in registering due to epidemic prevention requirements. It would be better if the freshmen come to the campus to register on their own and complete the procedures independently instead of being accompanied by their parents or other persons. In response to the latest developments of the epidemic, the college deployed the epidemic prevention and control work on campus, and would deal with abnormalities in a timely manner according to the epidemic prevention and control emergency plan to ensure that the epidemic risk was minimized, and a successful completion of the 2021 freshman orientation task.

The college fully implements the Party's educational policy, taking cultivating people through virtue education as the fundamental task, and striving to foster high-quality technical talents that meet the needs of the cultural media industry. In recent years, the college has been people-oriented, advancing with the times, and constantly pioneering and innovating. Through "two changes" and "four ways", the enrollment work has achieved satisfactory results. With the continuous strengthening of our college's comprehensive school-running strength, its social reputation, student reputation and candidate recognition have been greatly improved, and the admission score has been ranked among the best in the province for many years. A constant rise can be seen in the quality of admission and rate of freshmen registration.
