On the morning of June 25th, teachers and students gathered at the east gate of the college with various banners flaunting above. At 10:30, when the leaders of Changsha County Narcotics Control Office and 50 students from Hunan Police Academy arrived, the activity started.

The people present made a solemn oath to show their determination to fight against drugs before they began jogging. President Ma Yujun and vice president Jiang Minquan served as torchbearers, taking the lead in the jogging. The 50 national flag guards of the college formed a phalanx and ran with the 50-member phalanx of Hunan Police Academy. The team ran 626 meters around the designated route on the campus, symbolizing the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26. "Healthy Life, Green, Non-toxic" was used as the slogan while they were jogging. Hundreds of students from all secondary schools participated in the event.

The "6.26 Anti-drug Torch Flaming in Campus" activity was organized by the Office of the Changsha County Narcotics Control Committee, with the participation of the Changsha County Public Security Bureau, Quantang Sub-district, Xingsha Sub-district, Xianglong Sub-district, and Changsha County Anti-narcotics Association. The event was held in Hunan Police Academy and other 9 colleges and universities, among which HNMMC was the station.
