The School of New Media Technology Won the Fourth Place in the Reform Pilot Competition of the National Vocational College Skills Competition

On November 10, the Mobile Application Development Competition Event of the Pilot Reform Competition of the 2020 National Vocational College Skills Competition Reform Pilot Competition (Higher Vocational Group) ended in Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology. The competition was sponsored by 37 ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education, National Development and Reform Commission and Shandong Provincial People's Government. 30 contestants of 30 teams from all provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the competition. After intense competition, Duan Zhengwu, guided by teachers Yi Can and Liu Yanshu from our college, gave full play to his strength and won the fourth place in the country (first place in the second prize).

The Second Prize of the Mobile Application Development Competition Event of the 2020 Pilot Reform Competition

The competition lasted for three days and was divided into four modules: A, B, C, and D. The contestants completed the "demand analysis", "prototype design", "software function coding", and "testing and deployment" on the spot according to the given mobile application software development project tasks. The match started at 8 o'clock in the morning on November 8 and ended at noon on the 10th. Compared with the previous national competitions, this reform pilot competition has the task of docking the world skill competition. It featured with high difficulties, heavy tasks and long competition duration, which required extremely high comprehensive quality of the contestant in all aspects.

This competition is a continuation of the Hunan Province Mobile Internet Application Software Development Skills Competition in December 2019. In the competition, student Peng Liang, Duan Zhengwu and Tan Yunfeng under the guidance of teachers Yi Can and Liu Yanshu from the College, stood out from the 51 teams, surpassing the host team, and won the first prize. At the same time, student Lei Yuqing, Huang Wenhao and Zhang Chenrong under the guidance of teacher Li Zhiyong and Peng Ting won the third prize of the team.

Since the establishment of the Mobile Internet Application Technology Specialty of the School of the New Media School in 2015, it has continuously reinforced its vocational skills competition training and achieved gratifying results. Among them, students have participated in the A-level competitions, such as Mobile Internet Application Software Development, Big Data Technology and Application, Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application, Network Security, and won 1 national second prize, 5 provincial first prizes, 11 provincial second prizes and third prizes. In B-level national competitions, students have received 1 first prize, 4 second and third prizes.
