On December 13, the 1st National Vocational Skills Competition came to an end in Guangzhou. After three days of fierce competition, Li Huanglong, majoring in Computer Network Technology, and Lei Yang majoring in Mobile Internet Application Technology, under the guidance of teacher Li Yong and Tian Yongmin from the School of New Media Technology, participated in this competition and the 46th World Skill Competition Trial- item of Cyber Security on behalf of Hunan Province. They competed on the same stage with 54 contestants (graduate students, undergraduate students, industry elites, and higher vocational college students) from 27 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and won the eighth place (Excellence Award) of the 1st National Vocational Skills Competition.
It is reported that this vocational skills competition is the first comprehensive national vocational skills competition with the highest event specification, most competition events, largest participating scale and the top skill level that was held since the founding of the People's Republic of China. With the theme of "New Era, New Skills, New Dreams", this competition has a total of 86 competition events, including 63 world-class skill competition selection competition items and 23 national-level selected competition items. 36 delegations from various provinces (cities, autonomous regions), Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and related industries participated in the competition. It had a total of 2,557 contestants and 2,376 referees with 86 events in the competition, among which the Hunan delegation sent a total of 91 contestants participated in 81 events. In this competition, our students competed calmly and fully played their strengths, demonstrating the demeanor of the skilled athletes of HNMMC.
