On the afternoon of December 25, the opening ceremony of the sub-contest of the 2021 Hunan Vocational College Skills Competition was held at the Academic Hall in Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College. Liu Yanqi, the fourth-level investigator of the Vocational and Adult Education Division of the Education Department of Hunan Province, Peng Fuqiang, the First Deputy Director Designated by the Provincial Government and Vice President of Hunan Communication Polytechnic, and Lei Junlin, Vice President of HNMMC, attended the opening ceremony. More than 300 people were present at the ceremony, including leaders of the sponsors, relevant personnel of the competition units, representatives of the chief referees, representatives of all team leaders and instructors, and representatives of contestants.

Lei Junlin addressed at the opening ceremony that the annual Hunan Vocational College Skills Competition was an important part of the National Vocational College Skills Competition system. It is an important platform for deepening the integration of production and education and the school-enterprise cooperation in the vocational education of Hunan province, promoting the spirit of craftsmanship and model workers, and advancing the reform and development of vocational education. As an organizer, we would follow the unified leadership of the competition organizing committee and the competition executive committee, get well-prepared and provide services with high quality and a high level, creating favourable conditions for the competition by dedicating to the good services for judges, team leaders, instructors and contestants so as to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of all competition events.

In the opening ceremony, Peng Fuqiang stated that under the background of the implementation of National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan, vocational education reform and development had an important strategic significance in promoting future economic and social development of the country and participating in international competition. Peng Fuqiang wished all competition events held in HNMMC a complete success and all contestants show their style, level, friendship while achieving excellent results.

This competition was co-sponsored by Education Department of Hunan Province and Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and was specifically organized by HNMMC. 449 contestants from 48 hign vocational colleges across the province will compete in 3 competitions in the following two days, including animation production, mobile media convergence application technology, and micro-video production.
