On December 13, the work The VI Design of Jishou City Created by Associate Professor Deng Shuiqing, a teacher of the School of Visual Arts, which passed two months of national preliminary and re-evaluation, and was finally selected into the 1st National Graphic Design Exhibition of China Artists Association. The exhibition was open to the whole country and sets no awards. Only 4 works from Hunan were selected, and the selected works will be exhibited in Beijing early next year.
It is reported that the Chinese Artists Association launched the 1st National Graphic Design Exhibition in October 2020 in order to further promote the development of China's graphic design art and build a high-quality academic exchange platform for China's graphic design. This exhibition is collecting excellent graphic design works from the whole country that reflect China's excellent cultural gene, possess distinctive characteristics of the times, and lead people's quality of life. It will give full play to the leading role of graphic design in national visual image communication, brand image promotion, cultural connotation demonstration, and the creation of the spirit of the times. The 1st National Graphic Design Exhibition advocated practical innovation and paid attention to social effects, intending to highlight the significance of design to the development of national economy and culture and the progress of world civilization, and giving play to the driving force of design innovation.
