On December 21, the College held the award ceremony of the 18th "Eyas Cup" Micro-video Contest for college & universities students. College leaders Yuan Weikun, Cheng Guizhen, Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin, Xie Jingwei, and principals of the Academic Affairs Division, Admissions and Employment Division, and College-Enterprise Cooperation Division attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winners.

With the theme of "Youth in China, Keep Moving", the competition adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, fulfilled the core values of socialism, and fully demonstrated the contemporary college & universities students mental outlook in the new age. The contest lasted for more than two months and received more than 100 works from colleges and universities in and outside the province. After being selected by the contest jury, the entries "Exorcise·Craftsman" and "Im Xiao Wang" won first prizes in the documentary category and non-documentary category respectively. Four works including "Bounden Duty in The Epidemic", "Looking for Heritage-Paper Painting Spring and Autumn, Photographing Life", won individual awards, and the work of "Natice for Missing Persons" from Peking University won the special prize of the jury.

The "Eyas Cup" Micro-video Contest has been successfully held for 18 sessions so far. Since the first contest up to now, the College teachers and students have upheld the college motto of "Creativity lights up your life", using innovative ideas, unique perspectives, and professional skills to create many excellent works that convey the positive energy of the times and show the vigorous and striving youth and responsibility of college students in the new era. It facilitated the coordinated development of students’ ideological and moral quality, scientific and cultural quality, and professional quality, reaching the goal of promoting learning, training, and teaching by competition, and combining competition with study. This event is organized by the School of Journalism and Communication.
