On September 23, the 22nd Seminar of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education (CSTVE) on "Talks on Specialties, Courses, Specialties’ Group and Scenarios" was grandly launched. This seminar took the form of online+offline, with the offline venues set up in HNMMC and Beijing Fengtai District Vocational Education Center School, and the online participation by other colleges and units. With the theme of "embracing the new era of intelligent convergence media and building a new ecology of media education", the organizer collected 138 cases submitted by more than 120 colleges in 16 provinces and cities across the country, and 31 outstanding cases selected by experts would be displayed and commented the next day.

Lu Xin delivered a keynote report entitled "Metaverse technology: new opportunities for cultivating talents with media digital attainment", pointing out the direction of in-depth reform of convergence media education in the context of the metaverse and putting forward the path of innovative development of convergence media education from four aspects: planning and cases of smart convergence media, metaverse and digital technology skills, new values and new ecology of vocational education, and new statements of the 12th National Congress of Vocational Education. She stressed that it is of great guiding significance for realizing the deep integration of digital technology and economy, and accelerating the construction of digital China through boosting the in-depth integration of vocational education and intelligent convergence media, effectively encouraging convergence media education to take initiative to use new technologies, adapt to new business formats, and serve the new economy, and comprehensively improving the training level of digital technology talents.

Xie Li, Deputy Director of the Department of Vocational Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, said in his speech that he hoped that the Special Committee for Intelligent Convergence Media would continuously adhere to the correct political direction, strengthen the reform of "three educations", and go deep into talents cultivation of speciaties. They are expected to explore, research, promote and disseminate teaching content, teaching methods and typical cases suitable for vocational students to learn and grow into talents. Great efforts should be taken in strengthening the public opinion and publicity atmosphere, encouraging the media profession to actively connect with new technologies, new business forms and new models, and cultivating more high-quality technical and skilled talents that meet the needs of community and industry, so as to welcome the 20th National Congress of CPC with practical action.
