On the morning of September 25, the College’s Scientific Research Management Office organized Wang Tao and other 4 teachers to attend the 2021 Training Meeting for the Hosts of the Language Application Research Project of Hunan Province at the Language Training and Testing Center of Hunan.

At the meeting, Bai Xin, the deputy director of the center, introduced the situation of the provincial project approval this year, and interpreted the project management methods in seven aspects including project application, fund management, and completion. Dr. Yang Min, deputy dean of Hunan Academy of Educational Sciences, gave a special lecture on the "Methods and Techniques of Proposal and Argument". He started with the definition, purpose and content of the proposal, and put forward 5 necessary abilities for a research project. Dr. Yang pointed out the difference between the proposal argumentation and the argumentation for project approval, emphasized the work to deepen, optimize, refine, and quantify the research project, and elaborated the way to write the proposal argumentation report from 10 aspects. The training meeting played a good professional guidance role in ensuring the quality of the subject research, and received a positive recognition from participants after the meeting.

It is reported that the "Language Application Research Project of Hunan Province in 2021" (provincial-level project) has established a total of 63 projects, including 10 major projects. Teachers from HNMMC declared 11 projects, and 5 of them were approved, including one major project, reaching an approval rate of 45.5%. It accounts for 8% of the total number of the projects approved in Hunan province. The college has made breakthroughs in quantity and quality of this project, and formed a certain influence in this field across the province. Also, it will give a boost to apply for the "Language Promotion Base of Hunan Province" by the college.
