On September 21, HNMMC, Hunan Sports Vocational College and Hunan International Business Vocational College jointly held a seminar on teaching mental health education courses. Nearly 30 teachers of mental health education course from the three colleges participated in the online seminar for live collective lesson preparation and discussion. The event was undertaken by the teaching and research section of mental health courses in HNMMC.

At the meeting, the directors of the teaching and research sections of the mental health courses from the three colleges introduced their development and characteristics of the course. They had a free discussion on the teaching method, learning method and writing of the teaching plan of the curriculum, exchanged ideas on the analysis of learning situation, the embodiment of the curriculum features, and how to realize the purpose of ideological and political course, and established a collective lesson preparation group by automatically selecting the teaching content.

Through the meeting，the teachers were expected to improve their own abilities, clarify the direction of specialties’ development, give full play to their collective wisdom through teamwork. They should carefully analyze the psychological status of students and make accurate policies, so as to create a high-quality mental health course and promote the growth of full-time and part-time teachers.

It is reported that this seminar is the first cooperation on curriculum teaching between our college and counterpart colleges since the establishment of Hunan Mental Health Education and Consultation Demonstration Center. In strict accordance with the construction standard of the demonstration center, HNMMC will accelerate the construction of teaching resources, improve the teaching level of mental health courses in the college and counterparts, and exchange experience in psychological education, aiming to create a high-level and high-quality mental health education curriculum.
