The Proposal Argument of the School-level Education and Teaching Reform Research Project Completed

Recently, the proposal of the education and teaching reform research project has been carried out in an orderly manner under the two-level management of the college and school. On the afternoon of November 8, the college held a 2021 key-funded education and teaching reform research project proposal defense meeting. Xu Jingxue, the vice president of the college, attended the meeting.

After the 8 hosts presented the project and completed defenses, Xu Jingxue gave guidance on the common problems existing in the current research on education and teaching reform research projects. He pointed out that the education and teaching reform research project should adhere to the application research orientation, and focus on the key, hotspot and difficult issues of the vocational education and teaching reform, so as to realize both "research" and "reform". "Research" is the foundation, and "reform" is the goal. Research and practice running in parallel is the essential difference between education and teaching reform research projects and general scientific research projects. Xu Jingxue highlighted the focus of the declaration and the proposal argument, centering on "how to write a good proposal argument of an education and teaching reform research project", and made an interpretation on the major issues, such as the purpose of proposal, the current research status at home and abroad, research goals and significance, project definition, research content and method, the key issues to be solved, the characteristics and innovation of the project. He hoped that the project leader would deepen the understanding of the problems, optimize the research implementation plan, refine the research process, quantify the research results, and generate valuable and propagable teaching results.

At the meeting, Zhu Shuqing and other four professors also commented and guided the proposal statement.

It is reported that the Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for the proposal of key funded projects at the school level, and organizes key funded education and teaching reform research projects at the college level in three stages: expert meeting argumentation, on-site defense, and individual guidance. The secondary schools and the teaching departments are responsible for completing the proposal work of the general funding projects.

Since November 16, the college has completed 34 school-level education and teaching reform research projects that were approved in 2021.
