On October 25, the college held an epidemic prevention and control work deployment meeting. All college leaders, main persons in charge of various departments, and members of the special class of Epidemic prevention and control office participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Xie Jingwei.

At the meeting, Xie Jingwei summarized the college's epidemic prevention and control work at early stage, analyzed the international and domestic situation of epidemic prevention and control, and notified the provincial and municipal requirements and the college's epidemic prevention and control situation. Xie pointed out that the college resolutely implemented the work deployment of the Central, Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee Education Working Committee, strengthened organizational leadership, and improved the prevention and control plan. The epidemic prevention and control work has achieved good results. First, the college’s Party Committee has made powerful and efficient command, timely improving the college's work plan and putting it into effect in accordance with the requirements for epidemic prevention and control. Second, quick respond. The college organized nucleic acid testing for all people at the first time, and deploy various epidemic prevention tasks in line with the requirements of territorial principles. Third, effective work. The overall effect is obvious, and progress has been made at the current stage.

Xie Jingwei emphasized that we must do a good job in epidemic prevention and control. First, we must improve our political position. It is necessary to unify thoughts and actions to implement the spirit of the relevant conferences on epidemic prevention and control at all levels, and firmly maintain the bottom line of epidemic prevention and control on the basis of the overall planning and deployment of the college. Second, we must do a practicable work by strictly following the requirements of the college's epidemic prevention and control work leadership group, normalizing the epidemic prevention and control work, and earnestly perform their respective responsibilities. Third, the system must be strictly carried out, especially the "daily report and zero report system". The approval system for large and medium-sized gathering activities must be thoroughly implemented, and the awareness of epidemic prevention should be continuously improved. Fourth, respond quickly. We must be decisive in dealing with the epidemic situation. Fifth, we must manage and control public opinion, and do a good job in positive publicity and report.

Party Secretary Yuan Weikun put forward three requirements for the college’s epidemic prevention and control work at the meeting. The first is to attach great importance to it. Put the safety of teachers and students' lives and physical health in the first place, do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic, ensure zero confirmed case, and resolutely win the battle against the epidemic. The second is to intensify prevention and control. All faculty and staff must be firm in their beliefs, work together to overcome various difficulties caused by the epidemic, and jointly promote the sound and rapid development of the college's various undertakings. The third is to implement responsibilities. Leading cadres must rely on front-line command, all departments must perform their duties in a solid manner, and all faculty members must actively participate in and closely cooperate with the epidemic control work, shouldering their responsibility.

Lei Jiping, Director of the Logistics Department and Director of the Prevention and Control Office, reported on the plan of the epidemic prevention and control work for the college in light of epidemic prevention requirements of the province, the Department of Education, Changsha City, etc., and combined the current the epidemic situation to arrange the epidemic prevention work, and clarified responsibilities.
