On October 12th, the college and Changsha County Cyberspace Administration jointly held the 2021 National Cyber Security Promotion Week. Cheng Guizhen, secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the college, Xu Jingxue, Vice President of the college, and Gao Jie, director of Changsha County Cyberspace Affairs Office participated in the activities. Personnel from 13 administrative units in Changsha County and more than 3,200 teachers and students from the college took active participation in the activity, which has also attracted residents from surrounding communities.
The college attaches great importance to this cyber security promotion week. To ensure a success in this event, the college communicated and cooperated closely with the Changsha County Cyberspace Administration, organized a special coordination meeting to arrange work, formulated a detailed work plan, established a contact work system, and regularly reported work progress.
The publicity activities were presented in various forms. A total of 20 cyber security knowledge exhibition boards, 12 booths and banners were placed on the event site, and a signature wall was set up. Cheng Guizhen, Xu Jingxue, and Gao Jie took the lead in signing signatures on the signature wall, accepted media interviews, and advocated emphasis on network security. Teachers, students and community residents have also signed their names.
The event was covered by a heated atmosphere at the event. Many students carefully read the network security knowledge and typical cases on the exhibition board. The staff of Changsha County Public Security Bureau, Changsha County Big Data Center and various administrative units of Changsha County interacted with teachers, students, and nearby residents to provide network security knowledge consultation. Small souvenirs were distributed to teachers and students participating in the activity.
"Without network security, there would be no national security." In the afternoon, the college also invited Chen Hao from the Network Security Department of the Hunan Branch of the National Internet Emergency Response Center to give a special lecture on "How to Improve Awareness of Cyber Security" in the Academic Lecture Hall. Chen made his presentation from the aspects of information security in life, information security at work, the information security situation and policies and regulations. More than one hundred teachers and students attended the lecture.
Through this network security promotion week, a legally healthy and civilized network environment and a strong atmosphere of attention to network security have been created. The network security awareness and protection skills of teachers and students have been improved, and the college's network security work will be further enhanced.
