On July 16, the teaching ability contest of the 2021 Hunan "Chu Yi Cup" Professional Ability Competition for College teachers concluded. It was sponsored by the Education Department of Hunan and organized by the Hunan Academy of Educational Sciences and Hunan Chemical Vocational Technology College. 245 teams from 50 higher vocational colleges in 13 secondary vocational colleges entered the finals, among which 3 teams formed by teachers from the School of Visual Art and the School of Journalism and Communication. At last, the team of Zeng Li, Guo Keke, Zhu Yanlin, and Zhou Shu won the only first prize in the journalism and communication category, the team of Ni Dong, Shen Jianfei, Li Jiangning, and Zhang Wanyu won the first prize in the culture and art category, and the team of Sun Shanshan, Cui Shuang, Tang Wanqiong and Tang Jie won the first place of the second prize in the culture and art category.

In this competition, HNMMC won two first prizes, three second prizes, and five third prizes, demonstrating the higher professional quality and academic level of our teachers. In the future, the college will continue to push forward teaching reform, and lay a solid the foundation in curriculum by creating professional characteristics, deepening the connotation of works, building excellent vocational education team, and effectively improving the teachers’ capability.
