Lei Junlin Presided Over the Graduation Ceremony
Positive energy can be spread to thousands of miles and the love for the alma mater will always be cherished. On the morning of June 3, the college solemnly held the graduation ceremony for 2021 graduates, themed with “centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. We are young”. College leadership Ma Yujun, Liu Guoqing, Jiang Minquan, Cheng Guizhen, Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin, Xie Jingwei attended the ceremony.Vice President Lei Junlin presided the ceremony. People present included the heads of all departments, the deans of the secondary schools, the general secretary of the Party branch of HNMMC, representatives of teachers, graduates, and students. Before the ceremony, a documentary and MV "The Youth" were played in front of the audience, presenting students’ study life at school, and the best wishes of the college leaders to the graduates.
Xu Jingxue Announced the Commendation Decision
Amid the majestic national anthem, the ceremony kicked off. Vice President Xu Jingxue announced the commendation decision for the national scholarship in 2021 and outstanding graduates at the provincial and school levels. All the leaders present issued certificates of honor to the winners of the national scholarships and awarded the graduation certificates to the representatives of the graduates.
Later, the students of the School of International Communication presented a poetry recitation Youth Never Drops away, the Future Lies ahead.
Li Hongwei, a graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication, on behalf of all the graduates, made a speech on his gains and experience of studying at the alma mater for three years, extending his gratitude to the college and aspiration for the future.
Pan Danfen, a teacher of the School of Film and Television Arts, representing all the teachers, praised the graduates for their pioneering spirit and the sense of responsibility, recalled the beautiful moments with them in the past three years, and expressed the teachers' ardent expectations and best wishes for the graduates.
Ma Yujun Delivered a Concluding Speech
President Ma Yujun delivered a speech. He told the stories of the graduates in a familiar manner, and showed his pride of the outstanding performance of them in the past three years. He pointed out that this year's graduates were unique for that they had undergone the test of the epidemic during their studies and ushered in the centenary of the founding of the Party. In each major event they encountered, they can handle it with satisfactory answers. He put forward several hopes for the 2021 graduates: Firstly, to maintain a youthful and passionate heart to serve the Party and the country, while considering the country as your own family. Secondly, to cherish your precious life and have awe of nature and life. Thirdly, to be a responsible media person with a good faith and establish the correct social value orientation. Fourthly, to set an example via practices and to keep innovating. He expected that all students keep in mind the school motto, persist in innovation, and light up their lives with creativity.
In the end, the students of the School of Film and Television Arts performed a chorus with the college anthem We Are Young. The ceremony ended successfully in singing and blessings.
