On June 1, the college held a lecture on career planning. The lecture was delivered by Zhu Xinqing, a senior career development facilitator certified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and a Hunan provincial core teacher of basic education. More than 300 students from all secondary schools participated.

The lecture was presided over by Peng Tao, director of the Students Affairs Office. He noted that many college students currently lacked a clear understanding of themselves and long-term plans for the future. To confront with the increasingly severe employment situation, it is necessary to plan for their careers and seize opportunities, which requires students to pay great attention to it and study hard.

Zhu Xinqing introduced career planning from three aspects: self-expectation, self-inspiration, and self-development. He explained career development models, career positioning, industry characteristics, self-improvement paths with variouse cases and vivid metaphor, which triggered reflection of the people present. Moreover, he shared and exchanged views on the establishment of professional values and acquisition of career happiness.

Relevant teachers from the Student Affairs Office gave a brief introduction to students about the newly established studio for career counseling and employment guidance.

It is reported that the studio is built to better serve students, promote students employment, and even their career development from a longer-term perspective. The studio currently has 6 teachers for career counseling and employment guidance to provide free instruction for students.
