On the afternoon of May 31, as the last candidate walked out of the interview room, Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College Examination System of Individual Enrollmention in 2020.

The Examination enjoys a great attention. Recently, the Party Central Committee and the State Council promulgated the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" ("vocational Education Article 20"), making a major decision to expand the enrollment of higher vocational education. In the special time of the epidemic, it is undoubtedly a big test for the College to implement the enrollment expansion policy issued by the State and prevent and control the epidemic situation.

On May 30 and 31, a total of 5,052 candidates from all over the province registered for the exam,and the applicants hit record high. Different from the past, the enrollment this time includes not only fresh graduates from regular high school and secondary vocational schools but also public candidates including retired soldiers, migrant workers, laid-off and unemployed people, new-type professional farmers and enterprise employees. The admissions specialties cover 35 majors such as News Editing and Production, Advertising Design and Production, Digital Media Application Technology, Broadcasting and Hosting, Communication and Planning, Leisure Services and Management. The college plans to enrol 2135 people, including 190 social personnel.

To ensure the smooth progress of the enrollment, the college has established a enrolment work leading group and formulated a detailed work plan, covering examination registration, qualification review, examination organization, epidemic prevention and control, medical rescue, logistics support and emergency response to the epidemic so as to create a safe and fair test environment for examinee.

During the exam, Yuan Weikun, secretary of the Party Committee of the college, and Ma Yujun, president of the college, conducted on-site inspections and guidance to the front line of the exam preparation and organization to ensure that the examination and epidemic prevention are both proceeding normally and properly. The Office of the Leading Group for Epidemic Prevention and Control of the College has drawn up an epidemic prevention and control work plan and emergency treatment plan during the exam. The relevant departments have been well-prepared for disinfection and ventilation in the examination rooms, providing medical alcohol, disinfectant, disinfectant hand sanitizer and other items in the rooms. All candidates and personnel for the exam must wear masks. Before entering the campus, candidates must provide the green code of the residents' health card and take a temperature measurement. Those with abnormal temperature will be sent to take the exam in the standby isolation test room by the epidemic prevention staff by an anti-epidemic car. Therefore, measuring body temperature and scanning the green code have become a different aspect of this year's enrollment exam from the ones in the past.

This individual enrollment examination carries out the cultural knowledge test and comprehensive quality test respectively for three categories of candidates. The college will admit the best examinee according to their total scores from high to low and their preference for specialties. The list of admissions will be announced on the college admissions website, and report to the Education Department of Hunan Province and the Hunan Provincial Education Examination Institute for registration and approval.
