On March 12, 2020, the micro-course video works, named The Most Beautiful Countermarching People in the Epidemic War produced by Yan Ping and Wang Lihua of the Department of Ideological and Political Education in HNMMC our college was displayed on the "Public Lesson Preparation Platform for Ideological and Political Theory Classes of National Universities" by the Ministry of Education. The micro-course video named The Most Beautiful Countermarching People in the Epidemic War launched online learning to more than 11,000 students in HNMMC on March 10. Centered on the main line of the heroes fighting against the epidemic in Wuhan, the video started with an emergency gathering of medics to the front line of the epidemic prevention on New Year's Eve. A series of brave deeds by heroes in the “epidenic war” showed students the brave, united, tolerant, loving, and invincible Chinese spirit of the Chinese people. Through watching the video, students were able to feel the majestic power of the united Chinese people in the face of the epidemic. Many students were deeply touched and shocked after the micro-course, leaving comments that they should take the initiative to learn from heroes who fought against the epidemic. In the discussion, words such as "cheered for China", "self-sacrifice", "salute", "hero", "selfless dedication" entered the learning platform "Word Cloud". All students have attended a vivid and meaningful ideological and political lesson.

In the current severe struggle to prevent and control the Covid-19, the Party Committee and the Administration of the College have attached great importance to the publicity and education of the epidemic situation as well as the guidance of public opinion, requesting a good completion of "The First Course of Ideological and Political Education", and writing the original intention and mission of the Communists in the fight against the epidemic. The college has successively launched series of topic videos, including "The Most Beautiful Countermarching People in the Epidemic War", "Chinese Spirit in the National Fight against the Epidemic", "Patriotism in the Epidemic War", "Construction of the Global Fight against the Epidemic and a Community of a Shared Future for Mankind" , "Introspection under the outbreak— Adhering to the Harmonious Coexistence of Human and Nature ". These great deeds of medics saving lives from the god of death and confronting the epidemic showed the Chinese spirit. The videos tell about the inseparable overall relationship between the state and families, society and individuals in the Chinese spiritual genealogical tree. Carrying out education on patriotism, life safety, and social responsibility of college students from the perspectives of people from all countries helping each other, overcoming difficulties, building a community with a shared future for mankind, respecting life, being kind to everything, and reverence for nature, the videos guide college students to perceive the power of the country and nation, feel the warmth from the Party and the government, and experience the college’s care for students in both physical and mental health.

Associated Professor Yan Ping, said with deep feelings,"The lesson preparation is a lengthy process. To make only 10 minutes of micro classes, we need to choose materials from tens of thousands of anti-epidemic stories. However, due to the epidemic, we are isolated and short of assistance.we had to tap our own learning potential to learn and use collecting, editing, and broadcasting techniques, and utilizing the means of sound, light, color, and so on. It was a big challenge from micro-course recording to post-production, but also a good opportunity for me to expand my capabilities. "
   It is reported that the "Public Lesson Preparation Platform for Ideological and Political Theory Classes of National Universities" is the highest platform for the concentrated display of outstanding works by political theory teachers in national colleges and universities. Currently there are only 61 micro-course works related to the epidemic displayed on this platform, most of them are from universities. Among over 130 colleges and universities in Hunan, only 3 colleges and universities have their works on the platform. HNMMC is the only vocational college in Hunan whose ideological and political course videos were selected to be shown on the platform.
