On 29 November-1 December, the 2019-2020 National Cheerleading League Match (changsha) was held in HNMMC. A total of 290 teams with more than 6,500 athletes participated in the event. The three-day match is not only a display of beauty and strength, but also a competition of youth and passion.
The event was sponsored by the Center of Gymnastics Sports of the General Administration of Sport of China, undertaken by the China Cheerleading Association and our college and co-organized by the Hunan Cheerleading Association.

The opening ceremony was attended by director Yu Weiliang and researcher Wang Yu of the Vocational and Adult Section of the Education Department of Hunan Province, Yuan Weikun, secretary of the Party committee of our college, Jiang Minquan, vice president of our college, Kou Lei, director of the General Department of the China Cheerleading Association, and Zhou Jianshe, director of Hunan Cheerleading Association.Yuan weikun, on behalf of the college, gave a welcoming speech to all the guests and contestants. He stressed that the college has always been adhering to the principle of "offering service" and would spare no effort to provide strong guarantee for the competition and excellent service for the contestants. At the opening ceremony, hundreds of cheerleading athletes held pompon in their hands for a collective display of "Ode to the Motherland" with neat and forceful movements, and confident smiles on their faces. A pattern of "70" presented in the center of the field to express their love for the motherland.
This competition was divided into two items: dance cheerleading and technical cheerleading and categorized into public group, college club and social club. A total of 12 matches would be held. Teams could choose the required or optional movements and the forms of the competition content, such as pompon, jazz, hip-hop, techniques. During the 3-day competition, the gym was full of vitality and youth spirit.The toddler group was lively and lovely and the children group was full of vigor. The teenager group was energetic while the adult group showed their passion. These wonderful performances brought a feast of both our ears and eyes.
In addition, the competition witnessed the awarding ceremony for China cheerleading star clubs and the unites promoting cheerleading during breaks of classes. Kou Lei and Zhou Jianshe gave the award to the one-star and the two-star cheerleading clubs. Yu Weiliang gave commendation to the colleges that has received the approval of implementation of campus cheerleading exercies during the break.
The National Cheerleading League Match (Changsha station) has been held for 9 consecutive years and has become a developed brand event. The event attracted contestants from Hohhot, Tangshan, Wuhan, Xi 'an, Hangzhou and other cites, hitting a new high in the number of participants.
