The College Carried out "Intangible Cultural Heritage" Experience Activity for International Students

On November 8, 14 international students from Germany, Turkey, Madagascar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries, under the guidance of teachers from the School of International Communication, entered the Hunan Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum to experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage.

In the museum, students visited the Hunan Embroidery Training Center, Hunan Women Entrepreneurship Incubation Base and Jiangyong Female Script Training Center, where they experienced Hunan intangible cultural heritage such as Xiaogang incense production and female script imitating. Through this activity, international students have a deep understanding of Hunan embroidery, tie-dye, paper cutting, ceramic art, Tujia brocade, female script, Xiaogang incense and other intangible cultural heritage projects.

Intangible cultural heritage is the source of Chinese culture and the foundation of the cultural confidence of the Chinese nation. This activity enabled the international students of our college to have an in-depth understanding of the excellent Chinese traditional culture, improving their Chinese cultural accomplishment and enhancing the spirit of "knowing China, being friends with China and loving China". Moreover, it promoted the international communication of the connotation of Hunan's intangible cultural heritage and further accelerated the excellent Chinese traditional culture to abroad.
