On the afternoon of August 22, Xie Li, Deputy Director of the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, accompanied by Wang Renxiang, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Hunan Province, and Cui Shufang, Director of the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, came to the college for investigation, and had a colloquium with our teachers, students and alumni who work for the promotion video of the World Vocational Education Development Conference. Li Sanfu, Secretary of the Party Committee of HNMMC, He Zhanbing, the President of HNMMC and Lei Junlin, Vice President of HNMMC, attended the meeting, along with the college relevant persons in charge of the Party and Administrative Office and the Scientific Research Department participated in the meeting, which was presided over by Li Sanfu.

At the meeting, He Zhanbing introduced the college’s history, school-running characteristics and development planning, and declared that the college would take the World Vocational Education Development Conference as an opportunity to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi's instructions and actively push ahead with the high-quality development of vocational education. Lei Junlin made a work report on the promotional video undertaken by the college at the World Vocational Education Conference. She said that it was necessary to expand the theme of vocational education stories, make full use of digital communication technology, and spread the spirit of Chinese vocational education to demonstrate a good image of vocational education in China.

In the speech, Li Sanfu said that the college would take the existing work as the starting point and make efforts to reinforce the connotation construction, deepen the integration of production and education, and intensify the cooperation between enterprises and the college, so as to give full play to the advantages of the media in telling good stories of vocational education from the perspectives of individual, colleges, Hunan province, and the state.

Wang Renxiang pointed out that the completional of this promotion work was the college’s another successful trial in telling the vocational education stories by the vocational education teachers after the completion of the first national vocational education documentary "Chu Yi• Centennial Glory" in 2021 by the college. He hoped that the college would promote the connotation construction and characteristic construction through this project.

After listening to the reports, Xie Li fully affirmed the efforts made by the college in the publicity work of the World Vocational Education Conference. He mentioned that the promotional video of the conference reflected the industry's demand for technical and skilled talents. He hoped that Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College would make persistent efforts on the basis of this work and further develop the characteristics of the media to create more stories that reflect China's vocational education.

More than 40 students of related specialties participated in the symposium through network, and had an interactive exchange with Xie Li. The atmosphere was warm online and offline. Xie encouraged students to learn and master their skills and sent a wishful message that "skills serve the country, skills strengthen the country, and I am a part of it".
