On January 12, the opening ceremony of the outstanding graduation works exhibition of the School of Journalism and Communication of 2021 was held in the teaching Building. Yuan Weikun, secretary of the Party Committee of HNMMC, observed and guided at the scene. Present at the meeting were president Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Liu Guoqing, vice-president Jiang Minquan, Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin, Xie Jingwei and other leadership. More than 300 teachers and students of the School of Journalism and Communication participated in the ceremony.

The theme of this exhibition was "Telling good Chinese stories and recording the chapter of the times", aiming to build the college's professional education brand, spreading and promoting excellent traditional culture, telling good Chinese stories, and reflecting the results of politics-related curriculum construction. At the opening ceremony, Lao Guanghui, Director of the School of Journalism and Communication, introduced the selection process of the exhibited works and the theme of the exhibition. After that, three representative outstanding graduation works "Painted in Tianbei Village", "The livelihood of a City- Street Vending Economy", and "Champion Teens" were presented and received comments from the instructors on the aspects of creative background, shooting and production skills of the works. The authors made detailed explanations on the professional planning concepts, audio-visual processing skills and the director’s views that the film was expected to show in the creation so that the teachers and students present at the scene had a more comprehensive understanding of the works.

The exhibition was held in the lobby of the Teaching Building, where all students passing by stopped to appreciate and took photos. They discussed their views of the works and recognized that the exhibition had a certain reference value for their future graduation projects.

The Outstanding Graduation Works Exhibition of the School of Journalism and Communication of 2021 displayed more than 60 graduation works from 7 specialties including News Edit and Production, Film and Television Production, Radio and Film Program Production, Digital Publication, Photography and Videography, in the forms of videos, books, photography works and poster works. The works interpreted excellent traditional culture from different perspectives to tell Chinese stories, showing the teaching achievements of the School of Journalism and Communication and the spirit of students' hard work and youthful vitality. It also set a good example for the students of 2019 and 2020 by spreading the campus culture of pursuing the truth, excellence, kindness and beauty.
