On the morning of January 18th, the college president Ma Yujun and Cheng Guizhen, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of the college, went to the School of International Communication for a teachers’ symposium. The meeting was presided over by Cheng Guizhen. The relevant persons in charge of the School of International Communication, the director of the Teaching and Research Office and the administrative staff attended the meeting.

At the symposium, Ma Yujun and Cheng Guizhen listened to the opinions and suggestions of the teacher representatives on various work of the college.

Ma Yujun delivered a speech at the meeting, briefly introducing the gratifying achievements the college has achieved in recent years and the work being advanced, such as the successful completion of the college’s 20th anniversary of the achievements exhibition, the improvement of the quality of students and the satisfactory enrollment situation, the preparation of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Development", the endeavor to improve the level of schooling, continuing to focus on teaching while paying attention to 3 groups of teachers, students and alumni and 3 venues of the library, gymnasium, and college history museum, continuing to complete the work of cadre adjustment, as well as the ongoing civilization model campus Construction.

Ma Yujun spoke highly of the School of International Communication with the four words of "active, united, motivated, and energetic". In the school, the leadership team is united and cooperative. The faculty and staff are selfless and dedicated. The teachers have a good work style and morality. The teaching management is well-balanced. The student management is full of enthusiasm under strict requirements. The freshmen insist on evening self-study and create a good learning atmosphere. The two beautiful business cards of IELTS and Chinese Bridge Competition demonstrate the excellent work of the college. The School of International Communication has made positive contributions to the development of the college even in the lack of faculty staff and funding and faced with many difficulties.

After fully affirming the achievements of the School of International Communication, Ma Yujun put forward earnest hopes for the work in 2021: draw a good blueprint and set a good system under the democratic decision-making and scientific management; strengthen professional construction, paying attention to the revision of talent training programs, and actively exploring the training model of order-based classes; control the employment of teachers and strengthen the management of hired teachers; control the use of teaching materials; care about the growth of young teachers; solve forward-looking and urgent problems.
