Recently, the international grand finale of the 2023 "Belt & Road Initiative and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition" in the integrated media content planning and production category concluded at Chifeng Information Technology School. Guided by teachers Zeng Li and Guo Keke from our School of Journalism and Communication, the vocational student team consisting of Xie Yuanyu, Lu Zihan, and Tan Lingmei won the first prize in the international grand finale. Teacher Yang Yang from the School of Journalism and Communication was awarded the first prize in the teachers' category, and our college was honored with the Best Organization Award.

The competition was hosted by the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, the Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development International Alliance, and the Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Training Center of China Association for Science and Technology. It was co-hosted by the China Association for Inventions and the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange under the Ministry of Education, attracting 83 teams from vocational and technical institutions across 8 countries.

The competition encompassed three modules: integrated media professional knowledge, integrated media project analysis and planning, and integrated media content production. It primarily assessed the abilities in media content production, technological application, and team collaboration. Through this competition, the solid professional strengths of the students and the first-class teaching level of the college were showcased, further enhancing the domestic and international reputation and prestige of the college. The School of Journalism and Communication will continue to focus on skills competitions as a lever to constantly improve students' practical abilities and overall quality, enrich the practical teaching system, deepen the reform of practical teaching, and provide strong support for the improvement of the college's educational quality and socio-economic development.
