HNMMC competition site of 2023 "Chuyi Cup" Hunan Provincial Skills Competition for Vocational Colleges opened. 249 contestants from 44 vocational colleges and technical institutes participated in the Web application software development event in the electronics and information category of the higher vocational colleges group.
Li Sanfu, Secretary of the Party Committee of HNMMC, delivered an opening speech, and He Wangxing, the First Deputy Director of the competition site dispatched by the provincial government made a speech. The head of the expert group of the event, the responsible person of the event dispatched by the provincial government, representatives of the contestants and the instructors attended the opening ceremony. Shen Jianfei, Vice President of HNMMC, presided over the ceremony.
He Wangxing pointed out that Hunan Province has held the provincial vocational college skills competition for 16 consecutive years. In recent years, through the joint efforts of vocational education staff, the scale and quality of the provincial competition ranked the forefront of the country. This year, nearly 9,000 students competed in 121 events at 77 competition sites. He hoped that this long-term competition would actually promote teaching, learning, construction and reform, achieving the practice of virtue and skills and the combination of work and study. Therefore, it would further stimulate the teachers and students in vocational colleges in the province to strive for excellence and pursue perfect with pioneering spirit, and better guide vocational colleges to improve their education and teaching level to cultivate more and better high-quality technical skills talents so as to provide strong support for the implementation of the "three highlands and four new missions" strategy, writing a new chapter of Hunan adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
Li Sanfu expressed his warm welcome to the leaders, experts, instructors and contestants, and said that he would make all-out effort to be a good host and do a solid job in service guarantee work with high quality and standard. He emphasized that the vocational skills competition is not only a vivid practice to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on the strategy of manufacturing power and important instructions on the work of skilled talents, but also a vital action to cultivate vocational skills talents in the new era. The college will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, vigorously carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship and model workers, and devote itself to fostering great craftsmen and cultural masters, making greater contributions to the economic construction and social development services of Hunan.
It is reported that the annual Hunan Provincial Skills Competition for Vocational Colleges is an essential part of the national skills competition for vocational colleges system, and HNMMC has been hosting the "provincial competition" for many years.
