Recently, according to the "Notice on the 2022 Changsha Cyber Security Talent Training Base Pilot Unit List" issued by Changsha City Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, HNMMC officially became the Changsha Cyber Security Talent Training Base. Only three colleges and universities were selected in Changsha.

The Computer Network Technology and the Cloud Computing Technology Application specialty of the School of New Media Technology follow the development trend of network security and cloud security technology, closely connecting with leading enterprises in the field of information security, such as Sangfor Technologies, carrying out school-enterprise cooperative employment education, and establishing a talent training system with distinctive features of engineering combination. A large number of highly skilled students in the field of information security have been cultivated, and the students repeatedly win the first prizes in the provincial competitions and won many national and international awards in the field of network security attack and defense competition in 2022.

After the project is approved, the School of New Media Technology will use Internet information technology to build a network teaching platform for core curriculum and create a provincial and above innovative service platform and a demonstration base for the integration of industry and education in accordance with the declared scheme. Relying on the service platform and demonstration base, the School of New Media Technology will build and form an advanced computing and information security professional skills training system for the government and the society, aiming to provide talent support for the continuous development of Changsha's network security industry, and accelerate the high-quality growth of Changsha's advanced computing and information security industry.
