On September 20, during the 25th National Mandarin Promotion Week, the School of Film and Television Art came to Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, an old revolutionary area, to establish a Mandarin promotion base and carry out a series of Mandarin promotion activities to assist rural revitalization.
At the Activity Center of Shazhou Village, Miao Gaoyong, Deputy Director of the Teachers' Office of the Education Department of Hunan Province and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Language and Character Working Committee, Li Bing, Dean of the School of Film and Television Arts, Tan Shihua, the First Secretary of Shazhou Village, Zhu Xiangqun, Deputy Township Head of Wenming Yao Minority Village and Secretary of Shazhou Village Party Committee, a Mandarin promotion team of the school of Film and Television Art, together with the local people, held the unveiling ceremony of the Mandarin Promotion Base. They distributed the 25th National Mandarin Promotion to the local people, and conducted a survey on the promotion and use of Mandarin.
In the evening, the Mandarin promotion team was invited to carry out the educational training of "Mandarin +Vocational Skills" in Shazhou Village Farmers' Night School. During the activity, the teacher and student lecturers had full interaction with the students participating in the farmer night school, which was well-received under an enthusiastic atmosphere.
"Although the trip was in a hurry Mandarin promotion campaign was full of achievements. Shazhou Village is the Mandarin Promotion Base of the School of Film and Television Art of HNMMC, where we will regularly carry out more colorful language activities". Li Bing said that the activity shall help Shazhou Village tell a good revolutionary story and develop green industries.
As the unit of the "Base for International Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture" set up by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation in Hunan, the college has always been committed to comprehensively improving the popularity and quality of the national common Chinese language and character, contributing to the high-quality development of the national Chinese language and writing cause, and continuously carrying out the "Mandarin promotion" work to serve the "three highlands and four new missions" strategy of Hunan Province. Recently, HNMMC was awarded the unit of the first batch for provincial Chinese language and character promotion base in Hunan Province, and only 5 universities and two vocational colleges in the province won this honor. HNMMC will take this opportunity to give full play to the resource advantages and specialties and technical strengths of media college, and combine language and character work with regional coordinated development to boost rural revitalization.
