On September 27th, the final of the 6th Hunan Provincial Competition of the Research Learning Achievement Display of the Ideological and Political Theory Course for College Students was held in Changsha Commerce and Tourism College. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Zhang Min and Professor Wang Lihua of HNMMC, a project-based learning team formed by student Dai Jiayao, Liu Yaqi, Liu Zhendong, Yin Manjia, Xiao Yizhuo, from class 1906 of the Broadcasting and Hosting Specialty won the special prize with five-person research study group with the theme of A Study on the Responsibilities of College Students under the Phenomenon of "Haters".

This research study lasted for five months and underwent three links: preliminary, semi-final and final. The finals consisted of two parts: students' live display and defense. The 20 teams from higher vocational colleges in the province that stood out from the semi-finals were divided into two groups to have a fierce competition. The research study group of HNMMC conducted a wonderful demonstration to the teachers and students at the scene from five aspects: the reason for the selected topic, the research status, the research results, the next step of research hypothesis, and the achievements and experience, which has finally won the special prize.

This research learning competition fully demonstrated the strong learning ability, research capability, good ideological and political quality and theoretical level of our students of HNMMC. It also reflected the emphasis that the college leadership put to the ideological and political courses, and showed innovative and efficient results in the teaching reform of the ideological and political courses. The ideological and political course department will take the research learning demonstration competition as an opportunity to continue to promote the teaching reform of ideological and political courses, further stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, and continuously enhance the ideological, theoretical, affinity and pertinence of the ideological and political courses.

This competition is sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and the Education Working Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, and undertaken by Changsha Commerce and Tourism College. It aims to thoroughly implement the reform and innovation of the ideological and political theory courses in colleges of the New Era and comprehensively promote Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, guiding students to raise morality and determine to become talents, stimulating their enthusiasm in theoretical study, and comprehensively improve students' ideological and political theoretical attainment.
