On the afternoon of June 16, the 2026 Graduation Ceremonywas held in the Academic Lecture Hall. He Zhanbing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. College leaders Xie Jingwei, Cheng Guizhen, Lei Junlin, Zhu Dan, Yang Jinhui, and Shen Jianfei, along with heads of functional departments and secondary schools, faculty representatives, and all 2026 graduates, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Zhu Dan.
On behalf of the College, Mr. He Zhanbing extended warm congratulations to all graduates and expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty who worked diligently for cultivation and to the parents who supported them silently. He fully affirmed the performance of the 2026 graduates during their studies, while noting that they achieved outstanding results in professional skills competitions, social services, and innovation and entrepreneurship activities, which showcased the demeanor of media students in the new era. He encouraged the graduates to stay grounded and remain steadfast in their sense of purpose. Although the media industry is evolving rapidly with technological advances, their values must remain unwavering. Good communication, he emphasized, should touch hearts and inspire minds.He also urged them to strive to make a difference and continuously strengthen their professional capabilities. A degree is only a starting point; their work is their calling card, and their abilities are their true source of confidence. They should take pride in doing even the smallest tasks to the highest standard.Also, he encouraged them to lead with heart and bring warmth to everyday life. Rather than rushing for quick success, they should embrace a long-term perspective and find their own ways to shine and make a meaningful contribution, even in the most ordinary roles. Finally, he stated that graduation is not a farewell but a new starting point for the alma mater and graduates to move forward side by side.Wish all graduates to carry the courage of Hunan youth, the creativity of media youth, and the confidence of vocational education students, to walk toward the light and grow toward the new, and to write splendid chapters on a broader stage of life.
Yang Zheng, a 2026 graduate of the School of Film and Television Arts, spoke as the graduate representative. He shared his journey of growth over the past three years, from self-doubt and confusion to firmness and composure, and recounted unforgettable experiences such as practicing voice by the lakeside in the early morning and preparing for the World Vocational College Skills Competition. He specifically mentioned the moving details of his instructor running around all night to debug equipment when a sudden equipment failure occurred before the competition. On behalf of all graduates, he expressed sincere gratitude to the alma mater and teachers, and stated that he would keep in mind the motto Creativity Lights Up Life, work steadily and diligently, and never stop exploring.
Chen Qianqian, a counselor from the School of Management, spoke as the faculty representative. She noted that in 2023, she entered the campus together with the students. As a new teacher, she also formed deep bonds while accompanying her first cohort of students through their growth. Through real-life stories of students who overcame personal struggles and grew along the way, she illustrated her belief that education is about truly “seeing” students and walking alongside them, rather than judging or molding them. She encouraged the graduates to take good care of themselves on their future paths and would continue to follow the growth and development of every graduate.
At the ceremony, Mr. Xie Jingwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, announced the list of 2026 provincial outstanding graduates. All College leaders presented honorary certificates to the 2026 provincial outstanding graduates and awarded graduation certificates to the graduate representatives.
At the end of the ceremony, all College leaders stood up and watched the graduates depart from alma mater to embark on their next journey.
