On June 7, the final round of the 12th “Challenge Cup” Hunan Provincial College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, jointly hosted by the Communist Youth League Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, and other organizations, came to a successful conclusion. Two projects from our College stood out from 322 shortlisted works across the province, both winning gold awards in the higher vocational group. The College was also awarded the Excellent Organization Award, achieving the best result in its history at the “Challenge Cup” provincial competition.

Both gold-winning projects focused on the traditional Chinese-style cultural tourism track. The work AI Image-to-Video Technology: Creating New Horizons for Chinese-Style Cultural Tourism, guided by Teacher Chen Xiwen, Teacher Chen Yanlin, and Teacher Qi Xiaoying, targeted to address key challenges in intangible cultural heritage preservation and cultural tourism development in rural areas of the Yangtze River Delta and Central China. Leveraging its independently developed Qiying AI large model and a color library inspired by Eastern aesthetics, the project has established a comprehensive, end-to-end AI content production system that enables the fully automated generation of cultural tourism videos. This solution has reduced production time to just minutes, cut costs by 70%, and increased production capacity tenfold, tackling persistent industry challenges such as content homogenization and the lack of authentic Chinese-style aesthetics in tourism content. The second work Qingjin Zhizuo: Pioneering a Boundaryless Aesthetic Complex, guidedby Teacher Liu Chengcheng, Teacher Shan Ludongdong, and Teacher Zhou Li, positioned itself around the core concept of activating traditional culture through digital intelligence and reconstructing cultural tourism aesthetics through technology. It focused on immersive traditional Chinese-style cultural tourism and boundaryless stage art design. With three major advantages—technological originality, cultural depth, and closed-loop implementation—it opened up a new track for boundaryless aesthetic complexes in China.

After the launch of this year’s competition, the College Youth League Committee organized the preparation, soliciting projects from all secondary schools. After multiple rounds of screening and expert refinement, six projects were ultimately shortlisted for the provincial final review. Going forward, the College will continue to integrate scientific and technological innovation resources, guide students to leverage their media professional strengths, align with local economic and grassroots needs, and promote the transition of more youth creative ideas from the competition stage to the market.
