On December 18, the School of Visual Arts, in cooperation with China Light Industry Press, jointly organized the inaugural ceremony of the Digital Media Art and Design Program Cluster Textbook Development Committee and the New‑Form Textbook Development Forum. More than 60 experts and representatives from industries, academic institutions, and publishing houses gathered to discuss the construction of the program cluster’s textbook system and teaching resources. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Yuan Jin’ge, Dean of the School of Visual Arts.
Mr. Shen Jianfei, member of the college’s Party Committee and Vice President, emphasized in his address that textbook development is a foundational project for fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and supporting the development of the program clusters. He noted that the committee should closely align with industry frontiers, highlight the distinctive characteristics of vocational education, and strive to develop a number of innovative, adaptable, and leading high‑quality textbooks, thereby providing solid support for cultivating outstanding talents in digital media art and design.
During the event, the college issued appointment letters to committee representatives and simultaneously inaugurated the “Textbook Development Center,” the “Curriculum Development Center,” and the “Digital Cultural and Museum Ideological and Political Education Promotion Center.” This initiative marks the official launch of a collaborative mechanism for developing teaching resources integrating “textbooks, curricula, and ideological and political education” within the Digital Media Art and Design program cluster, and the cluster’s textbook development starts a new phase of systematic and coordinated advancement.
