On January 5, to solidly advance rural revitalization, the college’sTrade Union went to Langjiang Village, Qinglang Dong and Miao Ethnic Township, Huitong County, Huaihua City, to carry out a warm consumer assistance activity. By purchasing local agricultural by-products on site, the college took practical actions to help increase farmers’ incomes, injecting vitality into the collective economy of Langjiang Village, and fulfilling its solemn promise that “assistance is not a mere formality, and revitalization does not involve empty efforts.”

As the designated assistance unit for Langjiang Village, the college adheres to the dual‑track approach of “consumer assistance + industrial cultivation,” continuously promoting the effective connection between poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization. This activity is a specific measure of the college’s efforts to deepen the “I Do Practical Things for the Masses” practice, as well as a thoughtful arrangement to care for and serve faculty and staff. The assistance was highly recognized by She Wanwei, Party Branch Secretary of Langjiang Village, who noted that it not only broadens the sales channels for agricultural products but also strengthens the villagers’ confidence in increasing income through specialty industries.

To ensure precise and effective assistance, the college has repeatedly organized the Trade Union and relevant functional departments to visit Langjiang Village, walking through fields and farmers’ homes to conduct on‑site research on the production, processing, and sales of agricultural products. The village‑based task team not only helps connect products to markets but also focuses on long‑term development, providing continuous support in areas such as brand building, packaging design, and channel expansion, striving to build a long‑term assistance mechanism for the coordinated development of “production, sales, and promotion.”

Going forward, the college will take this consumer assistance as an opportunity to further leverage the professional advantages and platform resources of the media-relatedinstitutions, continue to deepen assistance measures in areas such as industrial revitalization, villagers’ prosperity, and beautiful countryside development, and contribute more wisdom and strength to achieving thriving industries, affluent lives, and an ecologically livable environment in Langjiang Village.
