Good News! Our College Ranks Among the Top 30 Nationwide in the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition

On January 30th, the Executive Committee of the World Vocational College Skills Competition released the award list for the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition Finals (Competition Round, Ranking Round, and Championship Finals). Six teams from our college competed in three higher vocational categories – “Art Design”, “Journalism and Communication”, and “Performing Arts”– and delivered outstanding performances, winning a total of 3 gold medals and 3 silver medals. The college’s comprehensive award ranking placed first in the province and ranked among the top 30 nationwide, achieving the best result in the college’s history since its participation in the competition, and fully demonstrating the college’s remarkable effectiveness in cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents.


It is reported that the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition was held from August to November across 28 domestic competition zones and 4 overseas competition zones in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and Central Asia. The competition attracted 8,956 teams, 33,707 contestants, and 17,762 instructors from 76 countries worldwide. This competition is the highest‑level, largest‑scale, and most influential international comprehensive skills event in China’s vocational education sector. Ourcollege’s outstanding performance across the three categories is detailed as follows:

Art Design Category: 1 gold and 2 silver medals. The gold medal project, “Night Talk with Li Bai”, centered on the poetic spirit of Li Bai, integrated technologies such as 3D animation, AI generation, and digitallight and shadow to create an immersive cultural experience, receiving high praise from the judges.

Journalism and Communication Category: 1 gold and 1 silver medal. The gold medal project, “Co‑seeing Mountains and Seas – Smart Media Assists Hunan Vocational Education in Connecting with Africa”, took “the Internationalization of Hunan Vocational Education” as its theme. Through a product system including promotional videos, popular science short videos, and converged media H5 pages, it vividly told the story of Sino‑African vocational education cooperation, winning unanimous acclaim from the judges.

Performing Arts Category: 1 gold medal. The project, “New Voices on the Silk Road, Resonance of Youth”, innovatively blended traditional Malay drums with AI music, creating a “national trend storm” and achieving a perfect fusion of intangible cultural heritage and modern technology.


As the Double High-level Planconstruction unit,the college has always adhered to precisely aligning with the development needs of Hunan’s digital cultural and museum industry cluster. It has proactively placed the integration of “culture + technology” teaching innovation at the core of its development, innovatively practicing the “three stages, three integrations, six synergies” training model for digital and intelligent artistic craftsmen, striving to take the lead in exploring effective mechanisms for integrating culture and technology.
