On February 5th, at the category of “Visual Art Design” of the 2026 “Chuyi Cup” Hunan Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition, the participating team from the Art and Design program of the School of Visual Arts delivered an impressive performance at the provincial venue. During the preparation period, aligned with the competition standards and real‑world job competency requirements, a guidance team consisting of professional teachers and industry mentorsformed in Art and Design Program. Focusing on the competition criteria and practical job demands, they conducted modular training in information, advertising, editorial, and packaging design. Through simulation of real projects, they strengthened students’ proficiency in software tools, technical processes, and industry standards, making them to form stable work quality standards through “learning by doing and improving by practicing”. At the same time, attention was paid to enhancing students’ ability to handle pressure and adapt, as well as their teamwork awareness, through scenario simulations and collaborative exercises, reinforcing the spirit of craftsmanship.
This achievement not only embodies the dedicated preparation and repeated refinement of the participating students and teachers but also reflects the tangible results of the college’s ongoing efforts to deepen educational and teaching reforms and improve talent cultivation quality under the “Double High-level Plan”construction.
