The three students from the Leisure Service and Management program - Guo Yaruo, Jiang Siyao, and Huang Yuewen - guided by Teachers Fei Fan, Hu Song, and Liu Yingzhe, won the above awards respectively.

The Tour Guide Service competition benchmarks industry service standards and talent demands in the cultural tourism sector. It adopts an individual competition format and assesses contestants across four modules: tour guide knowledge testing, on‑site tour commentary creation and delivery, oral English testing for tour guides, and talent application. The competition comprehensively evaluates participants’ professional knowledge, language expression skills, English proficiency, and overall artistic literacy. The whole contest was highly competitive and the judging system was extremely rigorous.

During the preparation period, the three studentsovercame challenges such as time constraints and heavy workloads. With their solid professional foundation, fluent and precise commentary, standardized and professional etiquette, and outstanding talent displays, they calmly handled each segment of the competition, fully demonstrating the craftsmanship spirit and comprehensive qualities of vocational education students in the new era. They eventually earned high recognition from the judging panel.

This remarkable achievement is both a microcosm of the School of International Communication’s deep commitment to professional teaching and its promotion of the integrated “post, course, competition, and certificate”education model, and a testament to the effectiveness of the college’s “Double High-level Plan” construction in cultural tourism programs. The School will take this competition as an opportunity to systematically summarize its experience, continue to deepen teaching reform in cultural tourism service programs, and strive to cultivate more high‑quality technical and skilled talents with cultural depth, professional competence, and service literacy, making greater contributions to the high‑quality development of Hunan’s cultural tourism industry.
