On February 7th, multiple events of the 2026 “Chuyi Cup” Hunan Provincial Vocational College Skills Competition came to an end. The college sent 70 competition teams, consisting of 181 contestants, and won a total of 46 awards, including 12 first prizes, 13 second prizes, and 21 third prizes.

The competition was jointly sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. It featured 37 events for secondary vocational groups and 75 events for higher vocational groups, attracting more than 11,000 contestants from across the province. The college attached great importance to the competition, with college leaders visiting the training sites multiple times to provide guidance and support. The Academic Affairs Office, together with various functional departments, actively coordinated and communicated, offering comprehensive services and solid guarantees to the participating teams.

Faculty and students on the competition teams devoted themselves wholeheartedly to the contests and ultimately delivered an impressive performance. This outstanding result is a vivid demonstration of the college’s efforts to deepen the education model of “promoting teaching and learning through competition”, advance teaching reform, strengthen practical skills training, and support the “Double High-level Plan”construction of program clusters.
In recent years, the college has gradually established a four‑level competition training mechanism at the national, provincial, college, and school levels. In 2025, the college won three gold and three silver awards at the World Vocational College Skills Competition. As the “Double High-level Plan”construction unit, the college will continue to promote innovation and reform in vocational education, strengthen its foundation for connotative development, and strive to cultivate more high‑skilled, craftsman‑like talents for society.
